Q. When can I enter this promotion and how do I know if I am eligible to enter? 
A. This promotion runs from July 9, 2012 through August 10, 2012. In accordance with the Official Rules, the promotion is open to residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (excluding MD and VT) who are 18 years of age and older as of July 9, 2012.

Q. How do I enter? 
A. You can access the entry application by visiting www.facebook.com/greenandblacks.us. Click on the “Recipe Contest” tab, ‘Like’ the page, allow the contest, register, and follow the instructions to enter.

Q. What does my entry need to include? 
A. Each entry must include 4 components:

  • An original dessert recipe that uses Green & Black’s product (any variety) as one of the ingredients. Each recipe submitted must include all of the following to be considered for judging: list of all ingredients and their measurements, instructions for making the recipe, preparation and cooking time, and number of servings.
  • A Recipe Title in 100 characters or less
  • A caption in 300 characters or less that explains why the recipe is inspiring
  • A photograph of your finished dessert including a Green & Black’s bar in the flavor used in the recipe (to showcase Appetite Appeal). Maximum size of each photo is 1MB. The following photograph formats are acceptable: .jpg, .bmp, .gif.

Q. How many times can I enter in a day? 
A. Limit of one entry per e-mail address/Facebook ID/person per day. Each entry must be original (original is defined as the creation of one’s own mind and is not a copy of imitation).

Q. What is the judging criteria? 
A. There will be 3 judging phases:

  • Phase 1: All eligible entries will be judged based on the following criteria: Appetite Appeal (33%), Creativity as it relates to the use of the Green & Black’s product in the recipe (34%), and Originality (33%)
  • Phase 2: The top 10 highest scoring entries from Phase 1 will be judged based on the following criteria: Taste (25%), Originality (25%), Creativity as it relates to the use of the Green & Black’s product in the recipe (25%), Appetite Appeal (25%)
  • Phase 3 (Consumer Voting): The top 5 highest scoring entries from Phase 2 will be deemed Semi-Finalists and will be posted online at www.facebook.com/greenandblacks.US beginning at 12:00am ET on August 31, 2012 through 11:59pm ET on September 17,2012. The highest scoring entry at the conclusion of Phase 3 judging will be the Grand Prize winner.

In the event of a tie during judging, tied entries will be re-evaluated on the following criteria: Phase 1: Appeal, Phase 2: Taste, and Phase 3: Taste (from Phase 2).

Q. When can I vote for the Semi-Finalists in this promotion and how do I know if I am eligible to vote? 
A. The consumer voting runs from August 31, 2012 through September 17, 2012. In accordance with the Official Rules, the consumer voting is open to residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older.

Q. How do I vote? 
A. You can access the entry application by visiting www.facebook.com/greenandblacks.us. Click on the “Recipe Contest” tab, ‘LIKE’ the Fan Page (if you haven’t already) and vote for your favorite entry.

Q. How many times can I vote in a day? 
A. Limit of one vote per e-mail address/Facebook ID/person per day.

Q. What are the prizes for this promotion? 
A. Following are the prize details:

  • One (1) Grand Prize: Prize package to include the following: 5 Quart Stand Mixer (Expresso), Monogrammed Cake Stand with Cloche, Stainless Steel Fondue Set, Apron, Platter, 12 Chocolate Bars, and $350 in cash to be awarded as a check. ARV: $1,158.90
