Stuffed mushrooms have become so popular that almost every restaurant chain in every strip mall in America has Stuffed Mushrooms on their menu. The bland little suckers aren't much to talk about, sometimes soggy, salty and overall unappetizing.

But a making a great stuffed mushroom can be done, and it can be simple. The earthiness of the mushroom with the crunch of the bread crumbs that become toasted in the oven, tossed with the freshness of parsley, the sharpness of Parmesan cheese and the zing of freshly minced garlic is something worth talking about.

This simple recipe for Garlicky Stuffed Mushrooms will for sure be the talk of your next holiday affair.    

 

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound of Fresh White or Cremini Mushrooms
  • 1 cup of Plain Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of Fresh Parsley – chopped
  • 4-5 cloves of fresh garlic – minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 cup of Grated (or Shredded) Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
Instructions:

Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Gently wash the mushrooms under cold water, taking off any dirt. Rinse and dry. Take the stems out of the mushrooms.

Take a mixing bowl and mix together the bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, salt, paprika, Parmesan cheese and olive oil until the bread crumbs are fully coated with the olive oil.

Take the bread crumb mixture and fill each of the mushrooms with the mixture.

Place all the mushrooms on a lined cookie sheet. Drizzle lightly with more olive oil (optional) and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
