Healthy Snacking

In my never ending quest to get slim and remain healthy, snacking on healthy foods is important to my day. My days can get pretty hectic. Between filming my cooking show, office days, meetings, conference calls, events...and oh yes, my kids and tending to the home - I tend to grab whatever is in sight when I remember I am hungry and stuff it in my face!

I must admit, it is taking some extra effort and planning to eat healthier. But even just after one day, I am feeling proud of myself for sticking to eating healthier foods. Yesterday, I had a bowl of oatmeal in the early morning. By about 10:30 a.m. I was feeling the need to munch on something. Instead of grabbing a bag of chips I put together this small plate of crunchy almonds, radishes, cucumbers with creamy avocado and a scoop of cottage cheese. It was really good!

On Sunday, I posted on Facebook that I was vowing to eat salad all week. And this is a pretty good start, don't you think? :)
