Back To School Mindset For Moms

Going back to school isn't just for kids. Mommas have to get back in routine also and I always have to get my mind wrapped around my daily routine again once school is back in session.

One of the biggest stresses of back to school for me is getting up to make breakfast, cook and pack bento lunch boxes and getting the kids dressed and out the door. I barely have time to get myself breakfast and I find that I end up eating leftovers off my kids plates! Am I the only one this happens to??

However, one thing I never forget is making myself a glass of ice-cold coffee to get me started. Along with my favorite cranberry & almond goodnessKNOWS snack squares, I can get myself jolted into conquering my morning and know that I'm getting good food that combines the goodness of whole nuts, real fruits, toasted oats and dark chocolate.Check out so many other delicious combinations like peach, cherry and almond and strawberry peanut.

I love that my goodnessKNOWS snack squares are only 150 calories for all four snack squares, it's easy to eat and pop in my mouth, and goodnessKNOWS contains 100 mg of naturally-occurring cocoa flavanols. Cocoa flavanols are the good stuff found inside cocoa beans and some dark chocolate products.

Here are more tips for mommas to get back in the school routine #tryalitlegoodness:

  • Wake up at least 30 minutes to an hour before the kids do. This gives you time to get yourself together, have some mediation or prayer time, shower (this is a big one!), check a few emails and get your mind wrapped around the busy morning. You can even get breakfast started and stay ahead of the morning schedule.
  • Do the same thing every morning. Routines are just that, doing the same things everyday. The great thing about being organized and doing the same things every morning is that it gives you a sense of control and at first thing in the morning, your mindset becomes strong for the rest of the days duties and tasks.
  • Prep the night before. They say the most successful people not only plan their day in the mornings, but even the night before. Before bed, try to list your duties of the next day. This keeps your mind ready for the tasks you need to do for the morning and when you wake up, you know exactly what your game plan is to execute.
