Whether you’re planning a road trip, day trip, or a vacation getaway with your pup, it’s important to find a dog-friendly place to eat and drink. Rover.com has a few recommendations for a variety of spots around the country.  Keep in mind that most of these restaurants welcome your pup in their outdoor seating, so plan your trip when the weather is just right! 

Norm’s Eatery & Ale House in Seattle, WA
Norm’s serves brunch, lunch, dinner, and a menu for your furry friends!  They also have a happy hour and late night menu, so you can grab a bite morning, noon, and night.  Enjoy your pub favorites including burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers.  Dogs are welcome inside if they’re on a leash, and they must be well behaved and avoid begging for food at nearby tables.

Barking Dog Restaurant in New York City
Barking Dog serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week.  Try a famous barking dog wrap or burger, or go big and get the NY Sirloin Steak or Cape Cod Fish and Chips.  Be prepared--the line for brunch may go around the block.  Make sure you dog hangs out with the other pups at the doggie water fountain!  Dog are welcome at the outside seating area.

Tin Fish Restaurant in Oceanside, CA (and other locations)
Tin Fish serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a variety of locations including Oceanside, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and more.  Check out their famous Tin Fish Sandwiches or Tin Fish Tacos.  Their menu also includes grilled fish, salads, and fish platters.  Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.

Zel’s Del Mar in Del Mar, CA
Zel’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Enjoy an all American style cuisine with a variety of flatbreads, burgers, salads, and sandwiches.  Larger entrees include Surf and Turf or Braised Short Rib.  For breakfast, choose from a light, sweet, or savory selection with a bottomless mimosa.  Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area.

Lili’s Restaurant and Bar on Wilmington Island
Not far from Savannah, GA, Lili’s serves brunch, lunch, or dinner.  Lili’s menu includes international inspired cuisine such as Curries with Saffron rice, Naan Bread Tacos, and Moroccan Lamb Stew.  Plus, your usual upscale options including seared salmon and beef ribeye.  Lili’s serves weekly specials and has been voted best island restaurant for 2015, 2016, and 2017!  Dog can join you in the outdoor seating area.

The Dog Bar in Charlotte, NC
After dinner, stop in for a nightcap any night of the week.  This place is part bar, part dog park with an astro turf play area on the patio.  Any breed or size of dog is welcome as long as they behave well off leash, are current on their vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered.
