Save some Recipes

If you can, you need to save some recipes that just use three ingredients. If you constantly go for takeout because you just feel like you have no energy to cook a meal from scratch, then this is understandable. That being said, if you want to avoid it, then you have to set yourself up for success. There are many 3-ingredient recipes out there, and when you use them, you will soon find that you can ease yourself back into cooking, without overwhelming yourself.

Use Spices

If you are sick of having the same chicken thighs time and time again, then the fastest way for you to mix things up a bit would be for you to try and broaden your choice of spices and herbs. Try and buy, grind, and toast your spices so you can then develop your own flavor combinations. If you can do this, then you will soon find that it is easier than ever for you to make sure that you are not having to put up with bland meals. Don’t have room to store a range of cooking gear? You can find self storage deals online with ease.

Use a Sauce from the Store

Prepared sauces tend to be a go-to for a lot of people and there is a good reason why. You might want to use some for that week and then freeze the rest so you can use them later on. You can even cook your own sauces in batches if you want, as this is a fantastic way for you to make sure that your family always have that go-to that is ready to heat. You can make vegetable-based sauces if you want to make sure that your family are getting the vitamins and nutrients that they need too.

Stock your Pantry

If you can, you need to try and stock your pantry so that it is full of lentils, pasta, rice, salsa, and even beans. You can also use simmering sauces and keep some chicken in the freezer. If you can do this, then you know that you will always be ready to go, and this can really work in your favor. If you can do this, then you will find that it is possible for you to cook a huge range of foods without ever having to step foot in a supermarket. If you want to make things easier on yourself, then make sure that you always have the basics, so you can then add one or two items to make it a full meal. Remember having pre-prepared vegetables is always a time-saver too.
