{Momma Cuisine Show} A Taste of Season 2

When I first began my journey as Momma Cuisine, I simply wanted to share my love of food and cooking, and chronicle my experiences in my blog. Through the process, I have rediscovered my long lost love of writing, particularly food writing, which was what I went to college for at Columbia College Chicago.

While studying Magazine Journalism, I got a job in a restaurant, as many college students do. But I chose the job to learn more about the process of dining and see what goes on behind the scenes. I thought that if I was going to “critique” restaurants and write about them, I should at least know how a restaurant works for myself. I am just that kind of learner.

From the very first day I stepped foot in that restaurant, I was hooked. I wanted to make a career out of it and really get behind the scenes. Needless to say, I decided to leave school and pursue a career in the restaurant industry. Fast forward about ten years, I became a manager, corporate trainer and opened new restaurant locations, training specialist and worked in fine-dining.

To make a long story short, through Momma Cuisine, I have been able to realize my dreams of sharing my love of food and cooking through my website and online cooking show. I’ve been in love with cooking shows way before the Food Network. I used to rush home after school and spend my entire weekends watching Martin Yan, Two Fat Ladies and Julia Child on PBS, and just study their styles of cooking. So, Momma Cuisine Show is an on-going project I am so proud of and continually working hard to make better, more interesting, and showcasing recipes that people can really create during their busy lifestyles.

This season on Momma Cuisine Show, we are working to shorten the video lengths (many viewers commented on video length) without sacrificing quality, message and recipe. I will also be continually showcasing people, places and things in and around Chicago at least once a month because I believe that food culture is something to be experienced and showcased outside of my own kitchen.

I really hope that you all see my passion as Momma Cuisine. Making Great Everyday Meals can be done with simple ingredients and basic cooking techniques!

Here’s a little taste of whats to come on the Season Two of the Momma Cuisine Show!
