The definition alone makes your mouth water, doesn’t it? The American palette for ramen has come a very long way from those hard square-shaped noodles in noisy wrapping and “flavor packets” that always seemed to end up everywhere except the pot of noodles. Today, ramen houses are popping up everywhere and the lines of hungry noodle-philes outside is a testament to the soothing and addictive comfort found at the bottom of an empty bowl.
