Top 5 Grocery Services for Healthy People

Finding the best grocery store for healthy foods is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and for your family. I'm a huge health-food nut and I'm always searching for the next best grocery store for healthy food.

Whether I'm looking for foods that have anti-inflammatory properties and help produce the risk of cancer or I'm looking for healthy snacks in between workouts, these are the grocery stores I count on.

1. Costco

Costco might be a surprising entry in this list, but trust me there's plenty of healthy food that you can find here. Costco is a great option because not only does it have a wide selection of healthy food, but it also has some of the best prices around.

Costco commuter is a great choice for families who are looking to save money and still eat healthy. They sell health food in bulk as well as vitamins and produce. You'll be able to find everything you need for a healthy diet at Costco without breaking the bank.

Here's a little tip for shopping healthy at Costco. The produce options at Costco can sometimes be a little lacking compared to other options on this list. However, Costco is the best choice for getting healthy snacks in bulk. Stop by your local Costco to load up on healthy snacks for when you need a quick meal.

2. Sprouts

Sprouts is a chain grocery store that's something of a rival to Whole Foods. They're selection is a little different and they offer something unique for people looking for healthier food. Sprouts has an all-around grocery store which means you can do all of your shopping in one convenient and healthy location.

One of my favorite things about Sprouts is the surprise as you'll find in their produce section. I'm always spotting new fruits and vegetables in the produce aisle at Sprouts. They also have one of the best bulk sections around if you're looking for rice, beans, and dried fruit.

3. Thrive Market

Thrive Market is one of the most interesting options on this list. Rather than being a brick-and-mortar grocery store, it's an online subscription service that lets you get health foods at a bulk discount price.

Here’s how it works. All you need to do is sign up for a recurring subscription box from Thrive Market and you'll get all of the biggest name brands in healthy living sent to your door every month. This is a great way to go after those Whole Foods brands, but without the Whole Foods price tag.

Thrive Market is also a good choice for people who prefer to have their groceries delivered rather than going to shop at a physical store. Check out this full review of the service for more in-depth info.

4. Whole Foods

No list of healthy grocery stores would be complete without Whole Foods. This is the grocery store chain that changed the name of the game when it comes to offering healthy foods in the United States. Whole Foods has plenty of rivals and even your local grocery store is going to be offering many of the healthy products available at the specialty store. Whole Foods still has great options for health nuts like us.

You'll be able to find plenty of help food options at your local Whole Foods. Whole Foods prices aren't even as bad as they used to be as long as you shop smart. You can skip the $10 cucumber water, but you will find some of the best deals on organic produce at the store.

5. Trader Joe’s

The last entry on our list is Trader Joe’s. Don't let the store fool you, there's a lot more going on here than just the oddball decor and unique brands.

Trader Joe's has a great reputation in the fitness and health community. You can find plenty of healthy options here whether you are looking for produce or prepackaged snacks. Trader Joe's also has competitive prices so you'll be able to find these items at a discount.
