Top Tips for Fresh and Fabulous Skin

Your skin goes through a lot every day. And, as time goes by, you start to notice. There’s nothing wrong with aging as it’s a perfectly natural part of life. However, the way you feel on the inside might not be reflected on the outside, and for many people, this can be frustrating. Help keep its radiance for longer with these top tips.

Hydrate
The simplest way to keep your skin at its best is by keeping yourself hydrated. Try to drink the recommended amount of water a day to help your body function and flush out the toxins. Avoid sugary drinks and alcohol as much as possible to reduce the chance of breakouts and keep your skin looking fresh.

Diet
Again, another simple solution to good skin and overall health is watching your diet. Everyone likes to indulge now and again, but if you’re finding yourself eating candy bars or junk food every other day, then it’s time to kill that habit. Instead, try to eat foods with omega-3 and healthy oils that improve the appearance of your skin by increasing the production of collagen that keeps your skin supple.

Treatments
There are dermatological treatments available to help refresh your skin if you feel the need. The use of a microcurrent machine has been particularly effective and used by some of the tops spas and dermatologists around the world. This technology helps make skin firmer and look younger and is a painless process. There are other treatments you can choose to have, but some of these such as chemical peels and Botox can be dangerous and more abrasive on your skin, as well as looking unnatural after a time.

Moisturize
It’s easy to forget to moisturize your skin each day, but this will make a lot of difference. Air-conditioning or heating in your office can dry out your skin, as can working outdoors in the elements. To avoid cracked and chapped skin, make sure you’re moisturizing in the morning and at night to help your skin replenish itself. In particular, do this after a hot shower or bath as that heat will also dry it out. You can tell your skin needs moisturizing if it feels tight or itchy. Make sure you find the right moisturizer for you as varying skin types will react differently.

SPF
If you can, purchase a moisturizer or foundation that has SPF already in it. This is important as the UV-rays from sunlight can cause lasting damage to the skin which is invisible to the naked eye. This is another big contributor to your skin aging prematurely and can lead to more serious problems like skin cancer. If you don’t have moisturizer or make-up that has SPF in it already, consider applying a light layer of sunscreen to your face before you go outside, even during the winter months.

There are a lot of ways you can revitalize your skin at home, and if need be, there are plenty of safe and effective treatments. Don’t age before your time — look after your skin!
