Try Something New This Year



When it comes to food and drink, people often like what they like, which is fair enough. But there’s a whole world of flavours out there to try that will open up the palate for good. Being confined to only liking certain foods is so limiting, so why do we do it? Well, we live in a generation that is scared to try new foods. The fear of having a horrible taste in your mouth is just all too much. But without just trying something new, you’re never going to figure out if you like it! Drink

Let’s start with the harder one first. For the purpose of this article, we’re going to talk about alcoholic drinks. There’s a lot of drinks out there that people just refuse to like. Vodka is one of the main ones. All people seem to remember of vodka is shotting it whilst they’re younger and throwing up not long after. But vodka can be so nice if you mix it with the right things. We’re not talking about vodka and coke here. We’re talking some yummy cocktails that even you could make at home. All you need to do is get yourself a nice bottle from an online liquor store, and get yourself some good ingredients. One of the most common cocktails to make is a cosmopolitan. It is sweet and easy to drink. Just get yourself a bottle of vodka, Cointreau liqueur, cranberry juice, and lime juice. We’ll let you experiment with the amounts, different people prefer different measurements of each ingredient. Gin is also hit and miss with a lot of people. You either love it, or hate it. Food

We as humans are just fussy eaters when it comes to food, especially foods that seem alien to us. Take sushi for example. You either love it or hate it. Some people are just so against fish they won’t even try it. But salmon such is one of the easiest to try first. It isn’t as fishy as the others, and actually tastes really nice when the soy sauce is added. If you’re totally opposed to fish, there are things such as chicken sushi which people love as an alternative. One meal for all you health nuts out there is poached eggs and avocado on toast. It is a great way to start the day, or even just for lunch. Avocado on its own can be rather bland, but when you mix it with a runny egg and bread it is transformed into something amazing. It really is a healthy nutritious meal that you all will love.
