Let’s take a look at some great burger recipes that are guaranteed to please any burger connoisseur.

Steakhouse Burger

Right off the bat, let’s appeal to the classic beef purists out there.  No red meat substitutes on this one.  For this, you’ll need 12 ounces of beef chuck or sirloin. In a small bowl, mix the following together:

  • 2 teaspoons of cracked peppercorns

  • 1.5 teaspoons of dried minced garlic

  • 1.5 teaspoons of minced onion

  • 1.5 teaspoons parsley

  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard

  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.

Also, set out 2 tablespoons of butter at room temperature.

Next, form the beef into patties around ¾ inch thick and gently season them with a bit of salt and fresh ground black pepper. On a large plate, dump the mixture of seasoning out and spread evenly, then coat both sides of the beef patties until thoroughly covered. Heat up your skillet for 20 minutes on medium-high.

Once the skillet is up to temperature, place the patties onto the skillet and sear one side for about 3 ½ minutes until brown. Flip the burger, then place one-quarter of the butter onto the browned patty and continue cooking for an additional 3 ½ minutes until thoroughly cooked.  Now place it onto your favorite buns or toast, add condiments and enjoy.

Turkey Burger

For those who avoid red meat, this recipe is undoubtedly going to be a tasty meal worthy of a look by everyone watching their fat intake. Gather the following ingredients:

  • 2 pounds each of white and dark ground turkey meat.

  • One poblano pepper

  • ⅔ seeded and minced jalapenos

  • Kosher salt.

  • Black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 10 gluten-free buns sliced

  • 10 to 12 slices each of red onion and tomatoes.

Begin by grilling the poblano pepper until the skin is blackened, then set aside to cool.  Remove the skin and seeds, then dice. Add the turkey meat to a medium size bowl. Mix in salt, pepper, and then the jalapeno and poblano.  Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and mix together. Now form the meat into ten to twelve patties.

Cook the patties on the preheated pan or skillet of your choice for five minutes per side until thoroughly cooked to a golden brown shade.  Now spread a small amount of butter onto the buns and then brown them on the grill surface. Now the Turkey burgers are ready to serve with slices of red onions, tomato, lettuce, and your favorite toppings.

Buffalo Chicken Burgers

Finally, try this exciting take on a classic burger dish. The Buffalo Chicken Burger. Gather the following ingredients:

  • 11 tablespoons of butter

  •  One and ½ pounds of ground chicken

  • 9 tablespoons of Buffalo hot sauce

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt and ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

  • 2 sliced onion roll buns

  • 3 stalks of celery (slice one stalk into thin slices and cut the others into sticks).

For the dressing, you need:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ¼ cup blue cheese crumbled

  • Pinch of kosher salt

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • Splash of white vinegar.

First, melt 9 tablespoons of butter, then transfer to a measuring cup.  In a bowl, mix the ground chicken with 1 tablespoon of melted butter and 1 tablespoon of hot sauce, then add salt and pepper and form the chicken into two patties.

Heat your skillet to medium-low, add 1 tablespoon of oil, and cook the patties on one side for about four minutes.  Mix the remaining hot sauce with the leftover butter into the measuring cup. Now flip the patties, and using a spoon, spread the hot sauce mixture onto the patties and cook for four additional minutes.

To prepare the dressing, mix the mayo, blue cheese crumbles, sour cream, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a new bowl. Heat the remaining butter in a pan and toast your onion rolls until brown. Now flip the patties once more, add two more tablespoons of hot sauce mixture and cook for two additional minutes.  Spread more hot sauce mixture onto the top and bottom buns. Top with the sliced celery and blue cheese dressing. Garnish with a few celery leaves, and you have the perfect burger to crush those pesky late-night cravings.
