Crunchy Summer Peach Salad

You'll rarely see me crave for a salad. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of gal.

But I have figured out my style and flavor combinations that get me to eat salad. For the perfect salad, I always like a perfect mix of crunchy, salty, smooth and sweet to make eating my salad enjoyable and tasty.

This summer salad takes simple ingredients like fresh sweet and crunchy peaches, large chunks of maple bacon, salty feta cheese, crispy greens, crunchy pecans and topped with your favorite dressing.

Try grilling the peaches for a different kind of depth of flavor. This salad is the perfect salad to serve large guests at a barbecue, or individually in a more formal dinner setting. Either way, you win!

Crunchy Summer Peach Salad

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups fresh spinach or mixed greens
  • 2 fresh, firm peaches, sliced into wedges
  • Crumbled bacon, as much or as little as you want
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup whole roasted pecans
  • Your favorite vinaigrette or dressing
Instructions:

In a large platter or bowl, arrange all the ingredients together.

For a backyard party, set dressing aside for each guest to pour their own so that the salad doesn't get soggy.

Love your combo! I really enjoy fruit on my salads but I've never tried peaches. Peaches, bacon and feta sound delicious together. Thanks for the inspiration.
