Fresh Cranberry Apricot Sauce
Cranberry Sauce is arguably the most important condiment of Thanksgiving. It's texture and sweet & sour taste is the perfect accompaniment to the savory Thanksgiving main attraction, Roasted Turkey.
That jiggly canned cranberry sauce sliced in to rounds, isn't bad ~ but try making your own Fresh Cranberry Apricot Sauce, and you'll see that it's a whole lot better made fresh.
With just a couple of simple ingredients, you will see just how uncomplicated it is to make your very own Fresh Cranberry Apricot Sauce.
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cups of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cups of Apricot preserves
- 1/4 cups of water
In a sauce pan – slowly bring the cranberries, sugar, water and apricot preserves to a boil.
Once the cranberries come to a boil and start to pop, bring the heat down to a low simmer and continue to cook until all the cranberries have popped and the sauce has thickened.
Taste for sweetness and turn off heat and set aside.
