Tofu Recipes You Can Cook At Home

Garlic Tofu

Adding garlic to your tofu recipe will be a great plus as it will bring out the flavors and in addition to this, add the same nutrients and vitamins found in garlic. Below is a garlic tofu recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Tofu cubes
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoons of chili powder
  • 1/4 hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons of soy sauce

Directions
Cut the tofu cubes and press them using a paper towel or a heavy kitchen fabric. This will help to remove excess moisture from them.

Combine the other ingredients except for the olive oil in a bowl and mix them well. When you’ve mixed them right, add pressed tofu and continue mixing to an evened out the mixture.

Put the mixture in the fridge and let it sit for two hours.

Heat the olive oil in a pan and when heated up, pour your mixture in and let it cook for 5 minutes.

When ready, serve when hot and garnish with your choice of vegetables or fruits. This is a great source of fiber and other vitamins.

Veggie Tofu Soup
This is a great recipe for vegetarians or anyone who’s embracing a vegan diet. If you’re not into a vegan diet, you can always incorporate some pieces of meat but they must be prepared beforehand.

Ingredients

  • 5 pieces of shallot
  • 1 pack of tofu cubes
  • 2 cups of cucumber cubes. (you can choose other ingredients in this section including mushrooms, baby corn, or pumpkin)
  • 3 ½ of your favorite animal stock
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of basil lime
Directions  

Grind the shallots to an even mixture and add it into the boiling stock and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes

Add the remaining ingredients - with the exception of the coconut milk - into the mixture and let it boil for 7 minutes

When done, add the coconut milk and serve when warm. You can garnish it with coriander or your other favorite vegetables.

Tofu Smoothie


You’ll agree that some of the best recipes that you’ve tried so far are fruit smoothie, right? Well, this is given considering that fruits are not only sweet but are also packed with vital nutrients. When making tofu smoothies, you can always try your best with any of your favorite fruits. But it’s important if you could avoid sour fruits.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of pressed tofu
  • 1 cup of your favorite frozen fruit
  • I cup of almond or soy milk
  • Honey for sweetening

Directions

Throw all the ingredients into your blender and blend till all the ingredients are smoothened out.

Add a bit of salt (preference) to bring out the sweetness in the smoothie

Garnish with a leafy veggie – you can serve these smoothies extra cold or depending on your inclinations.

Tofu is a great ingredient, when added to your diet and will most definitely become one of your favorite meals. But considering the fact that it won’t last for long, you must store anything made of tofu in the right way. The most preferred would be refrigerating it. Happy feasting people!
