How To Cook Legumes

On this week's episode of #InTheKitch, I have Luis Zapp of Zapp's Dancing Grains teaching us just how impactful little legumes are. Legumes are inexpensive, more versatile than you think and full of nutrients. 

Cooking Tips:

  • Soak legumes overnight, or for at least 3-4 hours to get rid of phytic-acid that makes your stomach go, Uh-oh! 
  • After soaking, rinse until the water turns clear.

Types of Legumes:

  • Beans
  • Chickpeas
  • Lentils
  • Peas
  • Lupins
