Day 1: Arrival and Warm-Up Ride in the Langhe Region

You will be out riding some truly iconic locations, the beautiful Langhe wine region. After settling in you would start off with a soft ride through some beautiful villages of Barolo and La Morra, the starter ride would set the pace for great riding ahead, allowing you to unwind with the serene landscapes and iconic vineyards that characterize the region.

According to The Washington Post, "Langhe's vineyards are not only beautiful but also hold world-renowned wines like Barolo, the so-called King of Wines." Stopping off to taste local varietals just adds the cultural dimension of richness to your cycling experience.

Day 2: Rolling Through Niella Belbo's Vineyards

On day two, you'll pedal along through the gentle curves of Niella Belbo, a charming and quaint setting where bright fields of all surrounding valleys have been turned into ripe vineyards. That makes this route a combination of moderate climbs and descents along with stunning panoramic views of the Langhe and Roero hills.

Most of Piedmont's cycling routes are meant to reveal unique agricultural heritage according to Italia.it. Local wineries can be visited along the way. Pause and learn about these traditions in making wine, then taste notable reds.

Day 3: Hills, Villages, and the Rollercoaster Terrain

This day turns wilder as the signature "rollercoaster" terrain of Piedmont comes into view. This way leads to hilltop villages like Barbaresco, Neive, and Serralunga d'Alba. Each has its own thrust: robust Nebbiolo wines for Barbaresco, cobblestone streets for Neive, and an ancient castle with stunning views for Serralunga.

Day 4: Exploring Hidden Paths and Quiet Villages

Take the less traveled, quieter path in Piedmont. This route is for peace and discovery, with the dark tranquility of undisturbed fields and secret gems waiting to be opened.

Day 5: Into the Hills of Cuneo and the Cottian Alps

The path becomes very rough now as one traverses the Cottian Alps and the hills of Cuneo. Steeper climbs and rather dramatic views get you, at once, into a testing ground of endurance while rewarding you at the same time with fantastic alpine vistas.

Day 6: Rest Day - Discover Piedmont's Culture and Cuisine

You need to rest from the ride and feast without biking on the numerous dishes Piedmont provides. Truffle hunting, wine tasting, and cooking classes - the day is all about enjoying all of what the region offers in terms of cuisine. You will get out of this adventure with a lot of acquired knowledge about gastronomy.

Day 7: Conquer the La Fausto Coppi Gran Fondo

The prize of the tour comes with the famous La Fausto Coppi Gran Fondo, an international competition for cycling lovers. Getting over the great Colle di Fauniera will always be a special memory with the breathtaking view from its peak.

Day 8: The Final Ride and Farewell

The last ride will be through the beautiful Piedmont landscape, going back to Turin. It is the time to reflect on everything that was experienced along this journey. This was an eighth-day Piedmont bike tour itinerary that wasn't just a cycling tour but a tour through Italy's natural beauty and cultural and culinary depth.
