On Saturday, September 24, 2016, Country Financial hosted a Q&A with chef/partner of popular Chicago restaurants, Bottlefork and The Duck Inn, Chef Kevin Hickey.  On a crisp Saturday morning at The Park Grill at Millennium Park, Chicago Gourmet festival was getting ready to open it's gates to thousands of foodies. Media and VIP guests had the opportunity to listen to Chef Hickey talk about his food philosophies, ideas and experience.

Moderated and hosted by Catherine De Orio of WTTW Check, Please!, Chef Hickey and Cat discussed the farmer's market experience in Chicago, how it has impacted his cooking style and menus, as well as his thoughts of how home cooks can experience the best of the best from farmer's markets.

Since 1925, Country Financial has been deeply rooted in agriculture. And as a mom who loves to cook, agriculture and exposing my kids and family to the farmer's market experience is not only a fun weekend activity, but also an important educational opportunity for the community to meet farmers and local artisans.
