A lot of people think that the food you eat has a strong relationship with the mood that you have. If you think about it, this is kind of true. If you are a busy mother then it may be hard for you to do this, but don’t worry, you can easily make a bumper batch of lasagne or even bolognese. The kids will love it and nobody will be going hungry at the end of the night. By eating hearty meals on a regular basis, you can easily take control of your mood and your eating schedule.

Avoiding Foods

Before you can really get started with your mood-boosters you need to know what foods you should take out of your diet. The biggest culprits here are carbohydrates and sugar. You need to avoid candy, soda and even fruit juice. You also need to avoid jam as well. You’d be surprised at how much sugar is in these types of things and white rice can also be as bad for you. Studies show that even though junk food may satisfy the craving you have, they won’t do anything for your mood and they can even leave you feeling hungrier when compared to what you were when you started the day as well. Greens and Vegetables

It’s actually really easy for you to incorporate vegetables into your diet. You don’t need to start eating avocado every other day either. For example, when you make a lasagne, consider adding some extra vegetables to it to make it that bit healthier. A good way for you to look at vegetables is to take note of the colour. The more colours you have in your diet, the more you will be meeting your nutritional requirements. If you get snacky when you are doing the school run then why not think about making your own fruit bars? When you do this, you can easily satisfy your cravings and you will even be able to have a sweet treat as well. The only difference is that it will actually be good for you and it won’t be packed full of processed sugar.
