Pineapple Bacon Sausage with Shishito Peppers
I have a way of Asianifying everything! Sausage and peppers isn't anything new, but I switched it up with taking Aidells® Pineapple and Bacon Sausage and pairing it with shishito peppers, tossed with a hefty dose of sriracha sauce. What you get is a delicious balance of sweet and spicy. This would be perfect in a your typical bun or over a bowl of rice or noodles!
1 package Aidells® Pineapple Bacon Sausage, sliced
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups shishito peppers
1 small onion, sliced
1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
Heat a skillet with vegetable oil on medium-high heat.
Add the sliced Aidells® Pineapple Bacon Sausage (or your own meat that you hunted with a lever action rifle) and cook until the edges are a nice golden brown and crispy.
Then, add the sliced onions and saute a bit, scraping the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon or spatula. Then, add the shishito peppers. Slightly turn up the heat to get the peppers toasted.
Turn the heat down to medium and toss in sriracha sauce and serve.
Get your Aidells® sausages at Meijer store locations, as well as an mPerks Aidells® offer of $1/1 on the mPerks coupon portal running from 5/1-5/28. Additionally, there will be an in-store demo on 5/1 to promote the product.
