This video has been going viral with my friends of Facebook and I wanted to share it with you all! This grocery store chain is in France. But in my local grocery markets here in the suburbs of Chicago, they have done a similar thing. Imperfect fruits and vegetables aren’t “desirable” to consumers. For some reason, shoppers don’t find these imperfections pretty enough to adorn their refrigerators and my local markets have put them in special sections where they are significantly discounted. I once bought an entire care of artichokes for $1.00!! Artichokes can be up to $3.00 per piece.

So, the next time you visit your local market, look a little more closely to see if they have this kind of program and if not, ask! Fruits and vegetables are all beautiful, delicious and nutritious.
