Robert Mackey, III is the founder of Lydia W. Smith Foundation, a non-for-profit organization raising funds to provide financial relief for patients will sickle cell anemia. The foundation focuses on providing insurance to patients for a 12 month period, as well as relief to patients with needs such as household bills, mortgage, rent, utilities, groceries, etc. “My mother (Lydia W. Smith) and my aunt have the disease and seeing them live with it and seeing all the mistakes the doctors have made treating them, I felt it was time to do my part in bring awareness, education, and financial relief to the patients.”

Joe Parajecki is the Operations Manager for Black Earth Meats, a processor of local antibiotic and hormone free Beef, Pork and Lamb. He has been a butcher for 20 plus years, member of the Butchers Guild and Meat Cutters Hall of Fame. Joe is also a master in the art of Sausage making.
