No matter if you are looking to treat your own child, your niece, nephew or a friend’s little one, it can sometimes be tricky coming up with gift ideas. Whether for a birthday or just a random treat, you want to spoil them and ensure they will love what you get. It can seem like they have everything they already want and therefore you are at a loss of what would be a cherished present for them. This is why we have put together a list of some great gift ideas for children that are sure to put a smile on their faces.

1. Something to do with their favourite cartoon

If a child loves a certain tv programme, cartoon or franchise, why not get them something to do with this? It could be an item like spongebob masterpiece meme figures, a poster to go on the wall, or a game that is to do with this. This is an item they are sure to love and be interested in! 2. Take them on a day out

Sometimes an experience says more than a present, so why not take the child in question on a fun day out? You could take them to a cookery club, to a nearby zoo or even a theme park. Think about what it is they enjoy - if they love fish for example, why not head to a nearby aquarium? Whatever you decide, you can make a real day of it, perhaps going for lunch or for a snack. It is something they will remember and cherish for years to come. And it may inspire you to get them a fish tank of their own!

3. A gift for the garden

Kids love playing in the garden so if they have ample outside space, why not get them something for this? You could look to purchase a paddling pool, water slide or some water pistols that they can play with when the sun shines. If you don’t want something that gets them wet, what about a slide or a swing ball set? You could also buy them a wendy house or a tent to play in.

4. Something new for their room

This is another gift idea for children that is sure to go down well! Why not buy something for the child's bedroom? There are many items you can get that would work for this, such as a poster for the wall, a new duvet set or a teddy bear.

5. A board game for the family

There are so many board games on the market, why not gift them with one that they can play as a family? From old classics such as Monopoly, Snakes & Ladders or Connect 4, to more unique and modern games, you are spoilt for choice. You could also get them something for a console like the Nintendo Switch if they have one already.
